Refund and Cancellation Policy
Fair rules for booked time and custom work.
Creative services reserve real calendar time, production capacity, and preparation work. This policy explains how cancellations, rescheduling, retainers, gift sessions, and custom website work are handled unless a written agreement says otherwise.
Effective June 20, 2026Applies to deposits, bookings, gift sessions, and custom projectsSigned agreements control specific projects
01Deposits and retainers
Deposits, retainers, booking fees, and first payments may be non-refundable once a date is held, strategy begins, pre-production starts, assets are reviewed, project files are created, or work has begun. This protects reserved time and work already performed.
02Custom creative work
Photography, video, event coverage, strategy, influencer marketing, content creation, and website builds are custom services. Refunds for custom work are generally based on the unearned portion of fees after completed work, reserved time, third-party costs, production expenses, and approved deliverables are accounted for.
03Rescheduling
Rescheduling is handled case by case and depends on availability, notice, project type, venue or event constraints, weather, illness, and third-party costs. A reschedule fee may apply if a date was reserved, production time was lost, or short notice prevents the date from being rebooked.
04No-shows and late arrivals
If a client or required participant does not arrive, arrives late, or cannot provide required access, permissions, or materials, the session or project time may still be billable. Deliverables may be reduced when time, access, or conditions are limited by the client or event schedule.
05Events and weather
Events, weddings, launches, and live coverage depend on timing, venue rules, weather, access, lighting, vendor coordination, and guest participation. If circumstances change, we will make reasonable efforts to adapt, but refunds are not guaranteed for conditions outside our control once coverage is booked or underway.
06Gift sessions
Gift session orders are confirmed after payment is received, including e-transfer payments when that is the selected payment method. Gift sessions are not redeemable for cash, are generally non-refundable once issued or scheduled, and may be transferred to another recipient if requested before redemption. Gift cards or gift sessions should not expire unless a written promotion says otherwise and applicable law allows it.
07Website builds
Website builds often include planning, design, prototyping, platform setup, revisions, integrations, testing, and launch preparation. If a website project is cancelled, any refund will account for completed work, approved milestones, third-party fees, software, fonts, stock assets, hosting, domain, plugin, contractor, and platform costs.
08Third-party costs
Third-party costs are usually non-refundable once incurred. This may include platform subscriptions, advertising spend, rentals, locations, permits, talent, travel, assistants, stock assets, software, payment processing, domains, hosting, or other project expenses.
09How to request a refund or reschedule
Use the contact form or email mail@eliapress.com with your name, booking date, project type, invoice or gift session details, and the reason for the request. We will review the request against the written agreement, this policy, work already completed, and applicable law.
This policy is a practical baseline. Project agreements, consumer protection rules, gift card rules, payment processor rules, and applicable law may require different handling in specific situations.
